Cherchez la Femme

This so called ‘series’ is a collection of paintings dedicated to the female through her various characteristics, personalities, and states of ‘being’. Cherchez la Femme started with a piece that truly was a happening; an unintentional direction that caused a ripple effect of fun experimentation. The medium, scale, and style vary in each artwork. Plaster, acrylic, rice paper, plastic, canvas, metallic paper, magazine clippings and resin are applied in various selections and combinations.

The material application and expression of subject are different in each piece.

    Elle est Elle: female figure painted on the classical acrylic on canvas.
